I handcraft these safety pins from scratch and sharpen the end so it will go through fabrics easily. The pin end is carefully tucked into the clasp and will not poke you by accident.
[MEASUREMENT]
The safety pin measure around 1.5" (38mmmm)long and 3/8"(9 mm) wide. The wire is just a bit thicker than commercial safety pins of the same size and may leave pin holes on delicate fabric such as silk, but will work great on cotton tshirts, jackets, fleece and knits.

This default pin end is very sharp (let me know if you prefer that I made it blunted slightly). Please use with care. The pin end is carefully finished and hidden from the outer edge of the brooch so it should be safe to use during normal occasions. I have sold many of these pins with great customer satisfaction.
